Discipleship Sunday Morning Connect (6)

Why Sunday Connect

We are excited for our church family of all ages to have an opportunity to build fellowship and grow in discipleship starting Sunday September 15th at 9:15am. Sunday Connect is a new ministry that is aimed at accomplishing two of our main priorities as a church for 2024:

1. Maturing our culture and structure of discipleship. We want to meet the growing discipleship needs of our church family to see everyone involved in a context of spiritual growth.

2. Expand and develop youth and family ministries. Passing on the gospel to the next generation is one of our highest priorities and callings. We hope to continue to pursue being faithful to the task.

Our plan is for this ministry to take place for ten weeks in the fall and ten weeks in the spring. We hope that you (and your whole family) will take advantage of this wonderful opportunity as we help one another delight in Jesus and live for His glory!

Have questions? Feel free to reach out to Pastor Zach, Pastor Garrett or Melissa Eldridge.

Sunday Connect Opportunities

Adult Connect Class || Adult Co-ed || Taught by Pastor Garrett
We want Sunday Connect at Christ Church to provide members with a strong foundation in the Bible, Doctrine, and healthy Christian living. This first class will focus on Interpreting Holy Scripture, which is a fundamental discipline of the Christian faith. We aim to help our Church Family become thoughtful and wise readers of God's Word. This Class will meet in the SCHS Library.

Mom’s Connect || Moms w/ Babies/Preschoolers || Taught by Lois Krogh, Kathy Meade & Melissa Eldridge
Moms of all ages and stages are invited to Mom’s Connect! Bring your little one(s) and spend time with other moms and seasoned mentors to learn how to love our children better from the Bible and from our stories of God’s faithfulness in the lives of Christ Church moms. We will have a short, 10-minute Bible study on loving kids and then have a Q&A time in small groups with an older mom and one or two younger moms. There will be activities set up for the babies and little ones while we meet and talk. This will be similar to the way we connect on a playground–where interruptions to Mom talk are expected and welcomed. This Connect will meet in the hallway outside of the SCHS cafeteria.

Kid’s Connect || Kids from Kindergarten thru 5th Grade || Taught by Tiffany Reed, Seth Lee & Audrey Myers
Kid’s Connect will be an opportunity for our elementary aged kids to build relationships and learn from the Truth78 curriculum entitled “The Best Good News of All!” We will do ten lessons on the gospel and have 10 verses to hide in our hearts. We will also end our time talking about Gathered Worship and prepare our kids to worship with our church family. We will have a large group time of teaching together, then divide by age into small groups. This Connect will meet in the hallway outside of the SCHS Chorus Room.

Youth Connect || Middle and High School Students || Taught by Pastor Zach and Hayden Barrow (Pastoral Intern for Youth)
Youth Connect will be an opportunity for our middle and high school students to build relationships with each other and with a team of Youth Ministry Leaders. This fall we will study the book of Ephesians and consider together the wonderful plan God has for us in Christ through the local church. We will have a short teaching time together, then divide by ages and gender into small groups. This Connect will meet in the SCHS Chorus Room.
