• Leaders equip the saints for ministry.
• Equipping prepares the body to build.

2. The Work: The Saints Build Up the Body (4:12b)

• Ministry belongs to the saints.
• The body is built as every member contributes.
• The church cannot mature through passive attendance.

3. The Goal: The Church Grows into Christlike Maturity (4:13)

• The goal is maturity, not mere activity.
• Maturity is something we grow into together.
• Christ is the measure of maturity.

4. The Danger: Immaturity Leaves Us Unstable (4:14)

• Immature believers are easily tossed.
• A church that is not being built up will be blown around.

5. The Way: Truth in Love Makes the Body Grow (4:15-16)

• The body grows by truth.
• The body grows in love.
