Christ Kids is the Chilren's Ministry at Christ Church that partners with parents to point our children to Jesus from God's Word in fun and loving environments.

At Christ Church, our mission is to serve the members and guest families of the church by providing safe, responsible, and loving childcare for children from infants to fifth graders. Loving, teaching, and caring for those precious children in our care is one way that we as committed members of Christ Church can glorify our Lord Jesus Christ and serve our community. Knowing their little ones are receiving excellent care allows families the freedom to be able to participate in corporate worship and to serve in other areas of Christ Church ministry.

“But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” (Matt. 19:14)

Family Ministries Christ Kids (2)

Sunday Morning Service

A nursery is provided for infants and toddlers, 3 months to 2 years, for the whole service. Children ages 3-6 are dismissed before the sermon for an hour long program with our Christ Kids team. We ask that you please check your children in prior to our service starting, so we encourage families with kids to come around 10:15 a.m. All of our children's workers are members of Christ Church and have gone through MinistrySafe Training prior to serving!

Kids Connect

Kids Connect will be an opportunity for our elementary aged kids to build relationships and learn from the Truth78 curriculum entitled "How Majestic is Your Name". Each lesson will have accompanying Bible verses to hide in our hearts. We will also end our time talking about Gathered Worship and prepare our kids to worship with our church family. We will have a large group time of teaching together, then divide by age into small groups. Kids Connect will meet in the hallway outside of the SCHS Chorus Room.

Preschool Connect

We are excited to announce the addition of Preschool Connect. We will have a Bible lesson, simple Scripture memory and Bible-focused crafts. This will be an active, playful, and structured time for our little ones! This spring our preschoolers will do a study called "He Established a Testimony: Old Testament Stories for Young Children." Preschool Connect will meet in the front-half of the hallway outside of the SCHS Cafeteria.

Moms Connect

Moms of all ages and stages are invited to Moms Connect! Bring your little one(s) and spend time with other moms and seasoned mentors. We will have a short, 10-minute Bible study and then have a Q&A time in small groups with an older mom and one or two younger moms. There will be activities set up for the babies and little ones while we meet and talk. This will be similar to the way we connect on a playground–where interruptions to Mom talk are expected and welcomed. Moms Connect will meet in the hallway outside of the SCHS cafeteria.

The Bible's Vision for Family Discipleship

God has given the unique and important responsibility of passing on the gospel to the next generation to believing parents. God has so designed the family unit that parents would preach, believe, and embody the gospel in their homes in such a way that their children get a clear picture of the message of the gospel and the kind of life God has designed it to create. Family Ministries at Christ Church are designed to encourage, equip and empower these families to pass on the gospel to the next generation. The local church is called to come alongside families for this purpose. We hope that many in the coming generation will be drawn to Jesus Christ through our ministries and life together.

You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. (Deut. 6:7)
