Welcome to Christ Church
We are glad that you are taking the time to get to know Christ Church and we look forward to getting to know you and serving you. We believe that when believers live all of life in light of the gospel together, the church becomes the “dearest place on earth.” It is our eager hope to pursue God’s desire for His church and be a blessing to all who He leads to our community, including you!
It is our desire that all of our intentions, plans, and ministry work be shaped by God’s Word and the central message of the good news of who Jesus is and what He has done to save His people. By God’s grace, we hope to see him do a great work in bringing His vision for the church to reality in us and through us so that the name of Christ may be made much of in the South Metro Atlanta area and beyond!
Gathered Worship Details
We meet Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. (starting on January 16th, 2022) in the auditorium of Sandy Creek High School, and our gatherings last about 75-90 minutes. We seek to shape our services by the gospel, and you can see more of what that looks like here. Our messages aim to let the main point of the Bible passage be the main point of the message that is shared. All of our teaching is driven by the gospel, the Bible’s main message of God saving sinners through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and its implications for our relationship with God, each other, and the world.
Directions
Sandy Creek High School is located at 360 Jenkins Road in Tyrone, GA. The auditorium is located on the west side of the building (furthest to the right if you are looking at the school). Special needs parking spaces are available near the entrance.
Babies & Kids
A nursery is provided for infants and toddlers ages 2-and-under for the whole service. Children ages 3-6 are dismissed before the sermon for a 45-minute program with our Christ Kids team. We ask that you please check your children in prior to our service starting, so we encourage families with kids to come around 10:15 a.m. All of our children's workers are members of Christ Church and have gone through MinistrySafe Training prior to serving!
