Family Ministries at Christ Church seek to equip and encourage families to faithfully pass on the gospel to the next generation.
Church Family Nights
Join us twice this spring for an evening of joyful fellowship and biblical teaching. We will gather as a whole church family (starting at 5:00 p.m.) for dinner. Following (at 6:00 p.m.), there will be singing and fellowship and then we will have age-specific ministry and fellowship from 6:30-7:30 p.m. During the age-specific time, we will have ministries for: adults, youth (6th-12th), elementary (2nd-5th), preschool (ages 3 thru 1st grade) and nursery (under 3).
Church Family Nights will meet once in February and once in April during the spring semester (see dates below) from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Operation Moblization (285 Lynnwood Ave in Tyrone).

Study for 2024
Workshop for Adults // This spring, Pastor Zach Fallon will be teaching on "Rhythms of a Christ-Honoring Home" on February 18th. What role(s) does each family member have to play? What are the regular practices (daily, weekly, monthly, annually) that we ought to pursue? What does it look like to trust God and experience His empowerment to build a legacy of faith (Ps 127:1)?
On April 21st, the elders of Christ Church will go over "Missions at Christ Church." Join us as we consider how we, as a church family, can begin to engage in God’s global purposes to reveal salvation in His Son to the end of the earth.
Study for Youth // We will be studying the Gospel of John chapters 13-17. Teaching will be led by Hayden Barrow (one of our pastoral interns), followed by small group discussion time with our adult youth workers.
Study for Kids & Preschool // This year we will begin to make our way through The Biggest Story Curriculum. Our hope is to show our kids and preschoolers that "God’s story is the most beautiful story ever told... [and] there is nothing more important for the younger generation than imparting to them a rich vision of the gospel."
The Schedule for Church Family Nights
- Church Family Dinner (1 hour) // You can let us know you'll be there so that we can plan accordingly by clicking here!
- Church Family Gathering (20-25 min) // Singing, fellowship and prayer with our whole church family!
- Age-Specific Ministry Gatherings (60 min) // This will be a time wherein we will invest God’s Word for the various life stages of our children and parents.
- Babies & Toddlers // A safe environment where little ones can play under the care and supervision of MinistrySafe trained Christ Kids workers.
- Preschoolers // Preschool age children (age 3 thru 1st graders) will gather together for a fun time of learning and playing with one another under the care and supervision of MinistrySafe trained Christ Kids workers.
- Elementary // Elementary age children (2nd-5th) will gather together for a fun time of learning and playing with one another under the care and supervision of MinistrySafe trained Christ Kids workers.
- Youth // Those who are 6th-12th grade will gather together for a time of building relationships with one another and consider the truth of God’s Word together under the leadership of Ministry Workers trained by the Pastor/Elders.
- Adults // Workshops will be aimed towards how to practically live in light of the gospel in various aspects of life.
The Bible's Vision for Family Discipleship
God has given the unique and important responsibility of passing on the gospel to the next generation to believing parents. God has so designed the family unit that parents would preach, believe, and embody the gospel in their homes in such a way that their children get a clear picture of the message of the gospel and the kind of life God has designed it to create. Family Ministries at Christ Church are designed to encourage, equip and empower these families to pass on the gospel to the next generation. The local church is called to come alongside families for this purpose. We hope that many in the coming generation will be drawn to Jesus Christ through our ministries and life together.
